Meet Sprout: A Gentle Soul Looking for His Perfect Family
Every so often, we meet a cat whose personality shines in a special way. Today, we’d love to introduce you to Sprout—a kindhearted, 6-year-old cat who’s ready to find the family he truly belongs with.
Sprout is already neutered and fully clawed, and he’s spent his years proving just how gentle and loving a cat can be. He’s good with both dogs and cats, but he especially seems to connect with younger cats. In fact, Sprout has even played the role of a foster “big brother” to kittens in need—caring for them, keeping them company, and showing a gentle patience that’s rare and beautiful to see.
While Sprout has a big heart, he would thrive most in a home that matches his calm, caring nature. His perfect setting would be a place where he can be the “wise elder,” sharing his space with just one or two other cats—ideally as the oldest in the group. This balance would allow him to enjoy companionship without feeling crowded, giving him room to shine as the gentle guide he naturally is.
Sprout isn’t in Homeward Bound’s direct care, but we’re excited to help him find his people. We believe his perfect family is out there—someone who will appreciate his big heart, gentle nature, and the love he still has to give.
