Caring for Cats Through TNR
Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) is a humane method for managing feral cat populations. Feral cats are trapped, spayed or neutered, and returned to their locations, preventing unwanted kittens and stabilizing colonies. TNR reduces stray and feral cats, improving their quality of life. It also eases the burden on animal shelters and lowers disease risks. With community support, TNR fosters a healthier environment for both cats and neighborhoods.
We are thrilled to share that we have successfully TNR’d over 60 cats in Nemaha County!
Twitch, a stray cat in Bern, KS, underwent TNR (Trap-Neuter-Release) in the winter of 2024!
“Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.”
“TNR is the ONLY solution to controlling the cat population. We as humans have dominion and a responsibility to all creatures. Cats are a gift! We need to love and care for them properly”
— Erynne Elms, local community cat caregiver.
