Give to Grow Match Day: Support Homeward Bound!
Give to Grow Match Day brings our community together to support local nonprofits doing hands-on work every day. For Homeward Bound, this support fuels our TNR (Trap–Neuter–Return) efforts, medical care for community cats, foster care, and our mission to build a safer, healthier future for cats in Nemaha County.
When you donate during Give to Grow, your gift goes further thanks to match funds, making this one of the most impactful days of the year for small organizations like ours.
What Your Support Made Possible Last Year
Because of generous Give to Grow donors, Homeward Bound made a tremendous impact this year. We provided care to more than 100 cats — from funding spays and neuters for stray and feral cats, to assisting pet owners with essential veterinary care that helps prevent unwanted litters and keeps the overall cat population down.
Your donations directly helped us:
Expand our TNR program in Bern, Sabetha, and beyond
Spay/neuter over 60 cats so far in 2025
Provide medical care for injured, orphaned, and “working” farm cats
Support families who needed help caring for their pets, preventing surrenders
Rescue, rehabilitate, and foster vulnerable cats like Coon, who is now thriving on three legs after lifesaving care
Your generosity last year changed lives, both feline and human, across Nemaha County.
This Year’s Goals
With your 2025 Give to Grow support, we aim to:
Increase our TNR surgeries to reduce future litters
Add more foster homes and emergency intake capacity
Continue supporting community caregivers and working farm cats
Move closer to our long-term goal: a cat-only, no-kill shelter for Nemaha County
Every donation — large or small — brings us closer to these goals.
